Golden Dragon Acrobats in Medford ORGolden Dragon Acrobats

Few theatrical feats deserve to be called death-defying, but the spine-tingling, jaw-dropping stunts of the world-famous Golden Dragon Acrobats more than live up to that description. These amazing daredevils think nothing of building human pyramids on moving bicycles or ascending leaning towers of chairs that reach to the ceiling. “The Golden Dragon Acrobats show us that the impossible can be achieved and, once achieved, surpassed, then surpassed again.” (Hillel Italie)

Step Afrika! in Medford OregonStep Afrika!

This thrilling, one-of-a-kind production showcases Step, an exciting dance form combining rhythmic footwork, body percussion, and spirited vocalizing. Each performer functions as a one-person-band without instruments, creating a veritable wall of sound through the syncopated interplay of hands, feet, and voice. As The Washington Post exclaims “Step Afrika combines the whiplashing torsos of African dance with the speed and fury of break dancing!”

Teen Musical Theater of Oregon - Teen Musical Theater of OregonWill Rogers Follies

Teen Musical Theater of Oregon (TMTO) is the new youth theater performance program from Craterian Performances and Children's Musical Theater of Oregon.

Will Rogers was one of the most amazingly versatile and enduringly popular figures this country has ever produced. Will Rogers Follies stages the story of Rogers’ remarkable life as a show-within-a-show. And not just any show, but the fabulous Ziegfeld Follies, which Rogers headlined for six years, performing rope tricks, telling jokes and dispensing straight-talking, old-fashioned folk wisdom between glitzy musical turns by the Ziegfeld girls. The winner of six Tony Awards, Will Rogers Follies never met an audience that didn’t like it!

Ranger Guided Snowshoe Walks at Crater Lake

Crater Lake National Park is pleased to announce ranger-guided snowshoe walks are now scheduled.  Walks will start the weekend of December 12th and continue, each weekend until April 25th!Snowshoeing to building

Weather permitting, the walks will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00PM.

Crater Lake is one of the snowiest inhabited places in America, receiving an average of 44 feet of snow per year.  Ranger-led snowshoe walks are a fun way to explore this winter wonderland while learning how the park's plants, animals, and the lake itself are shaped by the forces of winter.

Ranger-guided snowshoe walks at Crater Lake last 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  Snowshoes are provided free of charge, or visitors can bring their own.  No previous snowshoeing experience is necessary, all ages are welcome and there is no cost for the tour.  During the winter months, the park doesn't even collect an entrance fee.

Space is limited for each tour, so advance reservations are recommended.  For more information, and to sign up, call the park's visitor center at 541-594-3100.  The visitor center is open daily in the winter from 10AM to 4PM.  School groups, outdoor clubs, and other group organizations of ten or more can arrange for a special snowshoe walk by calling the visitor center.  Walks for organized groups are available on weekdays at 1PM, and on Saturday and Sunday at 10AM

Camelot-Theatre-logo.jpg (23579 bytes)Frost / Nixon

by Peter Morgan, Starring Doug Warner and Paul R. Jones.

It's 1977. British talk show host David Frost has become a lowbrow laughingstock. Richard Nixon has just resigned from the U. S. Presidency in total disgrace over Vietnam and the Watergate scandal. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews with Nixon in order to extract an apology. The cagey Nixon, however, is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation's eyes. In the television age, image is king, and both men are desperate to outtalk and upstqge each other as the cameras roll. The result is the interview that sealed a president's legacy.
