The "in" sport for mid-high and high-school kids! This 24,000 sq. ft. facility has various stairs, irregular shaped ramps, narrow arches, corner ramps and MORE, MORE, MORE. Elevated platforms surround the two bowls which drop down a 7-9 ft. radius.

For children who are rock hounds, this is a must! The museum contains earth science specimens of the local area, crystals, gems and jewels, fossils, arrowheads, petrified wood, geodes, and more. Open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm. Free to the public.



Dogs for the Deaf

A unique experience for the whole family. Free tours and hearing ear dog demonstrations are available, along with small souvenirs for purchase.
The Dogs for the Deaf foundation rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to act as the eyes and the ears of people who have hearing complications. At the Dogs for the Deaf Camp, dogs learn to respond to household sounds such as smoke alarms, doorbells, etc. in order to assist the daily living of those who are hearing impaired. After 4-6 months of vigorous training, the dogs are placed nationwide with qualified candidates.

Every child loves a water slide! This one is giant and fun for all ages. Located at Emigrant Lake, this county park and reservoir is also popular for swimming and boating. Drive six miles south of Ashland on Hwy 66. Open summers, daily, 12 pm to 6:30 pm.

THE OREGON VORTEX - Young "Nancy Drew" and "Hardy Boys" will love this real life House of Mystery! Inside, you can't stand up straight. You seem shorter when facing towards the south. A mystery? Not really. The Oregon Vortex is a spherical field of force, half above the ground and half below, and, by reason of this, the affected area is a circle.
